The main goals of the week long Training Course were:
• equipping youth workers with self-motivation and group motivating tools
• promoting a multicultural approach and tolerance and solidarity among participants by providing learning spaces for young people from different countries
• creating an inclusive and diverse learning space
• preparing work with youth for digital transformation
• influencing the local community by organizing an open meeting with participants from TC and disseminating it via podcasts
• reaching out to young people with fewer opportunities who most need empowerment and motivation to act
• providing a platform for peer support for youth workers.
Main activities of the training covered trying out broadly understood methods of self-motivating and motivating other people from different environments. The presented methods and techniques, along with their subsequent practiced concerned:
• effective communication (with particular emphasis on international communication)
• communication in difficult situations
• management of teamwork
• self-motivation
• motivating the team
• increasing the effectiveness of activities
• effective time management
• coping with stress
• successful relaxation skills.
All participants gained many new experiences in the field of interpersonal communication, improved their social and personal competences, which they will share in their local communities. Participation in the training and completing the final task in the form of firewalking, which is a strong collective experience, convinced the participants of their infinite possibilities available with a bit of self-determination. There was also an impact on the local communities of school students as the participants of the project were giving lectures in both english and polish language explaining main topics from the Training Course and sharing the techniques they have learnt.
They became stimulated to reflect on the possible and positive cooperation of European countries as well as to strive for effective communication in everyday life and to achieve their goals today, not tomorrow.
